American Gangster took the top spot in the weekend North American box office with estimated ticket

Oscar-winners Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe, including highest-grossing gangster film. The film
had received favorable reviews.

range of tie-ins to children's products.

Dan in Real Life (Buena Vista),

Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married? (Lionsgate),
Gone Baby Gone (Miramax),
