Char B1 Tank

| Char B1 was a French WWII Char de Bataille (battle tank). The Char B1 mounted a 75mm howitzer in the front hull along with a 47mm gun in a turret. This German photograph shows the abandoned French Char B1 bis number 323, which carried the name Var, in the village of Ermeton-sur-Biert near Namur. This Char B1 was from the 3rd Platoon, 2nd Company of the 37th BCC, 1re DCR. |
