Section V: AMMUNITION

20.  INTRODUCTION

The primary purpose of this section is to describe the ammunition suitable for use in German infantry weapons. Since unidentified ammunition cannot be used without danger to the user, considerable information is included on the system by which the Germans label and pack ammunition. Labels and methods of packing ammunition can be changed easily; therefore, the markings on the cartridge cases and bullets are also described in detail.
