Maj. Gen. Withers A. Burress
November 1942 - September 1945. Gen. Burress commanded the 100th from activation until the end of combat in Europe. He left the 100th for command of the VI Corps.
Brig. Gen. Andrew C. Tychsen
September 1945 - January 1946. Gen. Tychsen had formerly served as assistant division commander.
