Maj. Gen. Willard S. Paul (1894-1966)
August 1943 - June 1945. Formerly, Gen. Paul commanded the 75th Infantry Division. Gen. Paul led the 26th from its landing in France through the Ardennes and Central Europe campaigns. He retired from the army in 1948.
